Hello I am Eileen’s granddaughter Chloe.  I wanted to come up and say a few words about such a wonderful person.  Nanna really was a woman with a heart of gold.  I know that she truly cared for every single person in her life.  She was always willing to help anyone when they needed it.  I remember I went to see her a short while ago and asked her to help me revise for a physics exam, although at this point she had stopped teaching for quite a while, she was more than happy to help.  By the end she had even told me to invite any of my class mates over if they need help, but that was just how she was, even willing to help those she didn’t even know.  With Nanna I really felt I could open up, she would never judge, she would just listen and at the right moment she would give her opinion and it would always seem to make sense.  I could trust her with everything big or small and she would always say “ what is said here, its kept here”, and I always knew she would keep to that,  Nanna was so brave and she would never want anyone to worry about her.  I never once heard her complain even though everyone would understand if she did.  Nanna was one of the most intelligent people I have ever met.  She was always able to explain things and had the perfect patience for when we didn’t understand.  She would always make me laugh, when I would visit I would say no to a drink or food but that would never be the right answer, she would then go on to list me everything she had available.  Also when I would go to visit, I would only be popping in for 10 minutes but four hours later I would be wondering where all that time had gone.  Nanna was always happiest when she saw us all together.  She would love having family BBQs and she would be wonder woman the whole day, always ensuring everyone else was having a good time and never accepting any help.  I remember one time she actually let me butter the bread but that was after an hour of pestering her to let me help.  At Christmas she wanted all of us all together and it was wonderful, I never thought that would have been the last time I saw her beautiful smile.  I love you Nanna ever so much and I am so pleased to have you as part of my life.  You will always be my inspiration and everyone really is proud of how hard you fought.  I hope you are having a good catch up up there but don’t forget to come and watch over us once you are done chatting.

A beautiful angel who no one will ever forget.  That’s my Nanna.
